Is it just me, or does every mom-of-boys have to wipe pee off the toilet seat and the floor on a daily basis?
Is this the training manual that boys are given when they potty train?
And is it really my little boys that are making these messes, or does my husband just enjoy having others to blame it on?
I knew I never should have encouraged them to pee standing up!
Don't let phil off the hook that easily!! I live with 2 grown "boys" now and eww nasty! I think it happens in the middle of the night when they are half asleep LOL
ReplyDeleteI have only ONE little boy, but I thought the same thing! Why not just teach him to pee sitting AND to wipe himself, too! It didn't work out that way for me, either, but it's an awesome idea in theory...
ReplyDeleteOh, that made me laugh so hard. I know my husband is neat--he grew up with four sisters--because I wiped nothing until Noah potty trained. Now I'm forever lifting the lid to check the porcelain and wipe it clean. *sigh* It's rare that I've had to wipe the floor but it happens. Could this be why I've been too lazy to train Isaiah? ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to say, the boy who uses the potty is actually surprisingly neat. But he's pretty neat in every other way too...now wiping is another story (shudder).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your new photo! Very beachy & you all look beautiful :)
LOL My boys are the reason I DON'T have to put "clean toilets" on my To Do list. :-) This is because I check them every day and usually end up doing a bit of cleaning each day or every other. I'm in the habit now, so I don't think too much of it, but yes, I am cleaning our toilet all the time too....not so much the floor, but that happens once in a while. I have total empathy! And our 4th boy will be here in February! :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wouldn't be so quick to blame it on the little boys ;) I live in a house full of girls, and only one grown boy . . . just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteit is a sweet idea.. but when a daddy hears about it.. i can just IMAGINE!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is all boys. Big ones and little ones. Sitting down is so much 'cleaner'!!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLOL Loved the picture. I taught Snorkie to pee sitting, Daddy taught him standing, but he uses a stool to "reach", either way, he's pretty neat....most of the time.
ReplyDeleteWhen my DAUGHTERS were little, if they waited too long they would pee so hard that it would shoot straight out into their undies!
Now, THAT was annoying!!!
I can SEE your blog again! Yippee! Yip-pee, get it? ;)
ReplyDeleteBen is just now potty training. Oh goodness, I know my pee-wiping days are ahead. My friends with boys have warned me.
I have to say that both men in my house are pretty neat about using the bathroom and NEVER leave the seat up. However, I still walk into the bathroom and smell pee - I think it might be the girls.. . .
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, and HILARIOUS picture! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is the stench that gets to me. I swear there must be some secret spot in the bathroom where pee ends up.. that I can not see. I try scrubbing everything.. and the smell is still there. I KNOW I have some messy ones in the bunch because I have SEEN the evidence on the toilet brush, which sits next to the potty. Do they really not NOTICE that they are MISSING? Thanks for posting this. Glad to know I am not the only one suffering from this! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy two boys who are out of diapers and my one big boy make a huge mess all the time!! My 3 yr old was using the potty the other day and he missed the toilet and hit hos foot!!
ReplyDeleteI keep those disinfecting wipes out in the bathroom and usually have to wipe the toilet down several times a day!
Oh my goodness! My boys at home 8 and 6 pee with the seat down! It is so gross to need to go to the bathroom and sit down on their pee! It makes me so irritated. Who wants wet on their bottom and then to think what it is on top of that! I would rather take the lids up all day, then this to happen. I've banned them from my bathroom now. Boys and the bathroom= gross!
