It's time to start thinking about Christmas cards! I know it's only October, but by the time you get the perfect photo(s), design your cards, order them, and then mail them...well, Christmas will be over if you don't act soon!
We love using Shutterfly for all our cards, such as last year's Christmas card:
Alexander's birth announcement:
and family greeting cards:
So of course I've been shopping around through Shutterfly's Christmas cards this year. I love the ones with multiple photos in case you can't get a great family picture:
Aren't these cards so cute?
But if we can get a somewhat respectable group photo, I think this one is perfect considering we just had a new addition this year:
So which cards will you choose? What's that? You want some free cards? My my, you are pushy...but ask and you shall receive!
Two of my readers will receive 25 free cards from Shutterfly! That's right, it's a GIVEAWAY!!
You can enter twice:
1) Become a follower (if you're not already), and leave me a comment telling me you are one.
2) Leave me a comment telling me your favorite holiday tradition.
I will randomly pick the two winners on Sunday, November 6th, 2011 at noon, so submit your entries by then. Thanks for playing!
I follow you :)
ReplyDeleteThe best holiday tradition - hands down - is the fact that an entire table is devoted to desserts each year. OH YEAH!!!!
ReplyDeleteAww, this is wonderful! It would really help me with my Christmas cards this year! I am a new follower... well, I mean, with Google Friend Connect. But I've been reading your blog daily for almost two years now (and just so you know, I LOVE it!). I know, I know: I should comment more often...
ReplyDeleteWe have way too many holiday traditions, I just can't decide on which one is my favorite... oh wait, maybe I can. I love, love, LOVE that every single year, we go to the Midnight Mass on Christmas. It definitely is the most touching, beautiful, extraordinary mass of the year... <3 And I love that when we get home from Midnight Mass, we eat a yummy dinner (or breakfast, haha!) and open some gifts before going to bed for a couple hours. :)

ReplyDeleteFavorite tradition? Decorating cookies with the kids.
ReplyDeleteI follow you! (That sounds kind of stalkerish... lol!)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition is kid of strange. We have a nativity scene and we wrap up each of the pieces in newspaper when we put it away after Epiphany. We always have a game when we bring it back out to "guess" who is underneath the newspaper. I've become pretty good and guessing the shapes. The tall long ones are always the Three Wisemen and the tiniest always baby Jesus!
ReplyDeleteMy fav. holiday is Christmas. Love all the traditions. The tree, food, music....and CARDS!
ReplyDeleteI follow you and you know I would a million times again if I could :)
ReplyDeleteLove your choices and now this will get me thinking...hmmm...I loved the Shutterfly offer last year and hope to score freebies again!
Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I love traditions.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that my favorite traditions are the ones we've created with our little family. As of the last two years, the kids only get 3 gifts from Santa (if it was good enough for baby Jesus, it's good enough for them!!).
Also, we've made Christmas Eve our family time. No one else, we don't go to anyone else's house, nothing. We have also been dong some kind of gingerbread (house, train, etc.) kit in the afternoon as a family, have a simple appetizer supper, open gifts from one another and go to Christmas Eve Mass. We love it!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is going to Mass on Christmas Eve with our children. Our church become even more beautiful than it already is. During the Mass our priest encourages children to take their car keys out and shake them whenver they wish. This is to symbolize the birth of Christ (ringing of bells). Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI follow you! And great minds think alike . . . I posted my giveaway today too!
ReplyDeleteHoliday tradition . . . gathering around the advent wreath each night to sing O Come, O come Emmanuel . . . there is something so precious about hearing the boys sing it!

ReplyDeleteEvery year we read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It started when I was a little girl, and now I continue that tradition with my own children. We're never too old for story time!
