When they get jobs and want to buy a new phone and pay for data, then we will consider letting them switch over at that point, but for ages 13-16 this will be what they get! <br /> As far as phone/computer rules...I may have written a post before, but the quick answer is no technology upstairs (where the bedrooms are), no video games on school nights, no data until you can drive, homeowrk is done in a common area of the house (so we can see), we install Covenant Eyes on all devices (which blocks sites and reports where they are looking), we need to know all passwords, and I'm probably forgetting more but I need to run. Hope that helps!Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11451797365712728579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5937303870758455964.post-1779657231685106722020-11-13T10:39:42.808-05:002020-11-13T10:39:42.808-05:00Thanks Madeline :)Thanks Madeline :)Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11451797365712728579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5937303870758455964.post-62916150127024346472020-11-05T14:59:33.232-05:002020-11-05T14:59:33.232-05:00This is such a great post—bravery in admitting to ...This is such a great post—bravery in admitting to mistakes and taking a new approach. Parenting is so humbling. My oldest of six is 12 and we are holding off on a phone as long as possible, but when we do, I think the Gabb phone is such a great option. Will any of your older boys be switching to a Gabb phone? And I would love to hear more about other phone guidelines you have for your teens. Hearing from parents who have experience with teens and phones is so helpful for those of us who are just wading into that minefield. -KateAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5937303870758455964.post-33256242347266153772020-11-05T11:39:29.977-05:002020-11-05T11:39:29.977-05:00Oh Gabby phones and Lite phones are great!
