HI's:
1) Feels like summer around here, this weather is nice but confusing!
2) Phil has decided to pursue yet another degree. He already has a Bachelor's in Theology from Steubenville, a Master's in Religious Studies from Providence College, and an additional 15 credits in Education courses from the University of New England.
Now he will start working towards a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton . He will hopefully start in January 2010 and finish by August 2012. Then if a job in Administration (President, Principal, Vice Principal, Dean of Students, etc) opens up, he will have the right degree and 10 years of teaching by that point. I'm very proud of him!
3) Maggie is such a talker. She is almost 22 months now, and talked a little late due to not hearing us well before the ear tubes went in. Now she won't stop ;) She likes to sing and count to ten all day long. Unfortunately, her favorite words are "NO" "Don't want it" and "I do it". Good thing she's so cute!
4) Eamon is thriving in preschool. He loves going every day, and is not giving us any more problems with peeing/pooping on the potty. His third birthday is tomorrow! I can't believe my baby boy is getting so big.
LO's:
1) Trying to study, but can't get enough time. I really don't want to be a CPA anyways. I mean, the extra money would be nice, but I don't want the responsibilities that come along with it. I like working part-time at a job that only gets stressful during tax season, and I always have someone to report to. I know I keep talking about this, but it's such a big decision, and I keep feeling like I shouldn't be doing it, but then immediately feel guilty for not going for it.
What are your highs and lows this week?
I hope you pray about your CPA stuff. IF you really feel like you shouldn't do it then maybe God has something else in store for you. Try not to feel guilty about it and keep your eyes open for an opportunity you would really enjoy. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that today is back the 60's-lovin' it.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't feel right about the CPA then don't do it. It's not like this is your only chance to do it-if and when the time is right and if you want to do it you will.
Robby just inhaled that pancake you gave him, lol.
Love the new header! The pictures turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know my high for the week... getting engaged.
My low is having to go back home and not see Steve for another 2 weeks.
Really not a bad week!
Wow! Go Phil! That sounds like a lot of work and I'm sure there will be some big changes in your family, but I wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteThere's something about those girls. They start talking and the hardly ever quit. Gotta love it!
I'll keep praying for your right discernment in the CPA stuff. Hopefully all will turn out the way it is meant to be.
Blessings on your weekend!
BTW, love your new header with your new beach photos!! :)
Such a great list...God bless both you and your husband in your endeavors of study...SUCH commitment!

I love reading your HI's Lo's. Sorry about your struggle with the CPA decision.
ReplyDeleteHi's: IT is FRIDAY!!!
Lo's: business is in the pitts. Yuck.
Oh, and so happy for your husband too...he is a go-getter!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an exciting week! Good luck with your CPA decision! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHi Colleen, I too see the reoccuring pattern of ur indecisiveness surrounding the CPA exam. Here's how I see it, for whatever that's worth. Sounds like your heart isn't in it right now. And that's ok! Don't feel guilty about that! You are an incredible mom and the love, patience and time you give to your children is worth so much more than having extra money! What you are giving them now is priceless! You are an amazing super mom! And a potty trained by before age 3??? Whoa! You and your kiddos are incredible! Good luck with your decision, your family and friends will support you either way.
ReplyDeleteOk, now I see that Maggie is pretty much Jason's age - he's almost 23 months. Funny :)
ReplyDeleteRe: the CPA, it's just a test, and there is nothing stopping you from taking it later, is there? I couldn't imagine trying to study for something like that right now - I know your days must be something like mine, as our kids are the same ages. My 'long' view is that things work out the way they were meant to be, even if you can't see it right now - you will make the right decision for you and your family - no guilt!
