I've been enjoying your blog since I found it via WIWS, but just today thought to read your "The Family" section. When I saw that your husband is a theology teacher at a Catholic high school (where you work as well), I thought I'd contact you and see if I could send you a copy of my novel, "Finding Grace." It's a Catholic coming-of-age love story that is pro-chastity and pro-life--and although adults have read and enjoyed it, my target audience was definitely teens/young adults. I would like to donate it to your school's library, if you're interested. (And if you and/or your husband would be willing to read it and write a review on your blog...that would be awesome. Or maybe he would be willing to recommend it to his students?)
I feel a little nervy asking you this, but I'm trying to go outside my comfort zone a little in my efforts to promote the book. In fact, I blogged about this very thing today, not long before I went to check out your blog.
If you would like a copy, let me know where I should send it. (You can contact me at laura.finding.grace@gmail.com.)
Well, I've seen Cari's blogposts about you guys and I've seen your blog and tonight! There we were looking on YouTube for family rosaries to help inspire my boys to start saying a nightly tradition and what should we see but YOUR FAMILY minus one cutie pie saying a Rosary! Too cute. I'm glad you shared.
Hi. Our parish is opening a school and I'm thinking of trying to get a job there because my son youngest son will be going into kindergarten and I'll be ready to go back to work. Can you tell me what positions a typical catholic school has? I saw you mention Business Manager and bookkeeper. Do these jobs usually continue throughout the summer? Do Catholic schools typically provide benefits? Also, if I can't find a job at the school if I find a job at the diceses can I get a discount on my kids tuition? Thanks in advance for the help. I'm a Catholic school newbie. 😉
Hi, thought you might want to know that cleric Pat Buckley has used one of your posts to mock Archbishop Martin of Armagh... you might wish to complain or lodge a copyright complaint, you can see his posting here:
Hi Colleen, I found you blog from Camp Patton. You are my unicorn! I am working mom, who has 4 children 6 and under and am Catholic. I know some women that work, some that are Catholic, and some that have 4 or more littles, but not one person that is all of the above! It can be a bit of a lonely place! Luckily I have 4 beautiful little people that keep me very busy (in a good way!) Thank you for your blog ! Wish I could meet you IRL to swap tips! God Bless, Pamela
