...are still enjoying this snowy weather!
We got another 10 inches on Saturday night, and I'm reeeheeely jealous of my parents in Florida and my sister in the Carolinas and any of you that live anywhere warm and toasty. Spring is right around the corner, right?? Right?
These kids stayed outside for 2 hours!! Little snowbirds!
We are starting our February vacation this week - so no school for the kids and no work for Phil! I still have to work because I'm saving my vacation days for after Baby Martini arrives. I'll have 7 weeks of maternity leave, then I'm hoping to use vacation days to only work part-time until the summer, and then I'll have reduced hours in the summer and won't have to go back to 40 hours a week until September! By then the baby will be over 5 months old, and I'll feel much less mother's guilt leaving him/her all day.
Looks like they had fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope you were snuggled on the couch the whole time...
Hubby did take the pictures, right? : )
Oh mama guilt! I take my kids to work with me for the first few months. The first time I dropped off my oldest I cried like a baby. The first time I dropped off my second I felt guilty for not crying! I was so relieved that she was in good hands and that I would not have to worry about her making a bunch of noise at work! I'm still not ready to send my bebe (some days) because I cannot stomach the bill!
ReplyDeleteColleen, that's so awesome how you can work things out with your job! What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteWait... you have family in the Carolinas!? Where? Do you visit? Because we might need to meet one day! (Yes, I did miss the entire point of the post once I saw that.)
ReplyDeleteCalifornian here who misses snow and 4 distinct seasons.
ReplyDeleteHooray for not having to leave baby full time until 5 months!
ReplyDeleteCute little snow babies!
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't imagine 10 inches!! We got about one inch for a few hours last Sunday. That's it. I'm curious if your kids get sick of the snow? Growing up in Seattle, snow days are a treat and I loved it when I was a kid, but is it different if there is snow all the time?
Wow..that is a lot of snow..totally looks like Minnesota!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I can't believe you guys are getting bombarded with so much snow!!! Oh wait, we are too - craziness.
ReplyDeleteI hope the house is clean and dinner cooked and laundry done every day you come home from school this week. :)
I can't wait for spring too! And we haven't had nearly as much snow as you all
ReplyDeleteDarling photos! I know you are looking forward to some time off. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting the same winter you are--but we no longer have little boys who were snowbirds just like your kids. They LOVED to play in the snow! My husband I? Not so much!!
