Gratituesday: August 4th

Today I am thankful that my two oldest boys are at a Catholic day camp. They went last week and will finish up this Friday. They take a bus that picks them up around the corner from our house, and they are having SO.MUCH.FUN!!

Every morning they begin their day with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following this, they have swimming lessons, which has really improved their skills at the beach. Then they have arts and crafts, boating lessons, dance classes, lunch, free swim, and playground time.

I love the fact that they are being active and social all day long. We know two of the adults that run the camp, so I know they are safe, and they are in Heaven.

I must say, Phil and I are loving the break as well ;)

The only thing we are not so thankful for is the songs they come home singing from the bus ride. "Gotta get that boom, boom, boom" and "She wears high heels, I wear sneakers, she's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers".

Don't get me wrong, I loves me a little Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift, but my 4 and 6 year old should be singing their ABC's, not the Top 40 hits ;)

So what are you thankful for today?

  1. That sounds like fun.

I agree with you about your boys coming home singing that song. Yikes! :O

  2. Sounds like a great camp.

  3. Aww sounds like fun! Camps are always so much fun for kids!

I remember going when I was younger, I'm sure I gave my parents a scare when I cam home singing a song about running my dog over with the lawnmower... (and yes, that is a song we sang at camp!)

  4. Ha! Sounds like my kids singing. glad the boys are having fun and you are getting a small break

  5. Re: your comment:

I thought of you when I typed that! LOL.

  6. Oh my gosh, I think John Paul and Andrew must know more top 40 hits than me! eek!

  7. LOL at the BEP song and your comment about it. :P

  8. This is great. I want to go to camp with them too!!!!
I am grateful for so much today...getting ready to travel and see my family!!!
