It's the Most Wonderful Day of the Year!

I heart Christmas Eve. It's the best day of the whole year, according to moi!! No work, no school, just a day to play at home and get ready for Christmas. The anticipation around this house is so thick you could cut it with a knife!! We are all in good spirits and happy to be together. Later on this afternoon, we will have a Birthday Party for Jesus, complete with cake and ice cream :)

We will go out three times today, first to the gym this morning to work off some of the goodies we are about to eat. Secondly, for what should be the focal point of all our celebrating, Christmas Mass. Finally, we will be off to Laura's Open House in her new house to mingle for a bit before coming back home and getting the kids all snuggled in their beds.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.

.....and well, you know the rest!

(Christmas morning last year....my what a difference a year makes!)

Do you remember how hard it was to fall asleep on Christmas Eve??? Oh the excitement is just too much fun!

Merry Christmas to you all!!

  2. I agree!! Christmas makes me all giddy AND even at my age, the anticipation of it all makes it tough to sleep :) Still a little girl at heart!

This year is a little tough, we're in a snowstorm and I'm struggling to find my giddy. The amount of snow that will accumulate will probably keep me from my parents this year :( I'll get over it, I'm sure and we'll celebrate, just the four of us.

Merry Christmas dear Colleen, to you and your family! Christmas Blessings!
