NOT in "real" labor...
7 hours of contractions did NOT amount to anything....
Did NOT get any good sleep last night in the hospital...
8 hours in hospital did NOT a baby produce...
Resting at home today and NOT happy about it...
Next time I won't be so quick to announce I'm in labor so I will NOT be as embarrassed and frustrated.
(But thank you all for your prayers, those were NOT unappreciated!!)
i can imagine your frustrated but please don't be embarrassed.. we all know it's coming soon anyhow!!!!
ReplyDeletestill sending you good luck and lots of prayers!!
You sweet thing. We'll keep praying and don't you dare fret over false alarms. We've all been there. In fact, it's your right as an extremely pregnant woman. Love you!
ReplyDeleteIt took me til baby #4 to experience false labor. I had random contractions for about 15 hours before they stopped. I didn't get much good sleep either and I had to recount on Facebook my announcement that I was in labor.
ReplyDeleteIn short, my undying sympathies.
But, take the opportunity to recharge and rest up for the real thing. Hang in there...
Darn it, darn it, darn it!!!
ReplyDeleteI was picturing you all day with a little one in your arms and you looking radiant. Bummed. But probably not as much as you, huh?
Another day, soon.
{{hugs}} mama Martin. Hang in there!
Oh man! I've been in the exact same situation...for NINE DAYS now. It's so frustrating and exhausting. Prayer buddies?
ReplyDeleteOh, don't be embarrassed! We'll all just patienly wait.
ReplyDeleteTry and get some sleep.
:)
Awful! I've been sent home too. Its terrible. Try to rest today.
ReplyDeleteOh, so sorry to hear.
ReplyDeleteI will NOT stop praying for that sweet baby to come out!! (soon)
Awww, I've been thinking about you all day. I cannot believe that you had contractions for SEVEN hours with nothing!
ReplyDeleteI'm super frustrated today b/c my doctor office called and postponed my appt tomorrow until MONDAY. He was going to check me tomorrow. I'm so upset. I scheduled an appt with my chiropractor for today to see if he could induce me by adjusting my lower back (with his clicker thing). But then I chickened out b/c I wanted a few more days with my girls. :(
Maybe you should go see a chiropractor? Hoping it happens for you ASAP!
But I am not happy about waiting to see the doctor until Monday.

Dang! I was hoping the delay in approving comments meant that you were otherwise occupied. It's ok- it just means more excitement, all over again for all us Martin Family Moments blog junkies.
ReplyDeleteoh crud, how disappointing for you all! I hope you are not in discomfort too much longer. As long as you and Baby Boo are healthy and safe, we can hang on for the happy news. Still praying for you. :)
ReplyDeletewell it has to be soon now anyway...you basically are in labor, just maybe a few days of it.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you Colleen... praying! :)
ReplyDeleteBummer! But don't be embarrassed- you have every right to be excited and ready to have this baby!
ReplyDeleteFalse labor over here too...twice. Now I'm almost to my due date, which I never thought would happen. I'll pray for you...false labor makes every day feel longer (at least for me)! Stay busy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing...let go of the frustration. Baby boo will come when he/she is ready. Take this time to REST. Have your people wait on YOU...hand and foot.

Oh sweetie. False labor should be illegal. I hope you are able to rest up for the real thing. Soon darlin'!
ReplyDeleteoh so sorry Coleen.
ReplyDeleteDon't be embarrassed!! You can be angry though. Prodromal labor is the WORST!!! It happened with Elena and I was beyond exhausted. Up all night laboring. My hips hurt, my head hurt, my feet hurt and I still had no baby!! Kick your feet up and relax for a day. Then you can start walking again to kick start the real thing!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry it will be soon..this heat wave will do it don't you think? Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteOk, so not yet yesterday, how about now? How about now? Now? How about now? I hope your baby comes soon, waiting at the end is really uncomfortable :)
ReplyDeleteDon't be embarrassed. Keep announcing so we can pray. My midwife jokes that I've been in labor for over a month now. :-) It's so hard feeling like a ticking time bomb. Please know you can count on my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, sweet mama!
