We love honey, but since I'm scared of bees and we live in suburbia, we don't have a beehive or know anybody that does. So we are forced to buy our honey at the store, and man, that stuff is expensive!
But honey has amazing health benefits such as:
1. Alleviates Allergies
2. All-Natural Energy Drink
3. Boosts Memory
4. Cough Suppressant
5. Sleep Aid
6. Treats Dandruff
7. Treats Wounds And Burns
(That's seven quick takes BUZZING with honey's benefits - go visit Christy for more!)
And now for the review and giveaway...because I know you're all BUSY BEES...
Happy Valley is a New Zealand based company that produces all things honey related.
We were able to taste test some of their products, and loved them! You can only buy Happy Valley Honey from amazon.com in the US...but I'm giving away some for bee, uh I mean, free!
We added honey to our smoothies and made Honey Cinnamon Butter (just mix softened butter with some cinnamon and honey - it couldn't BEE any easier!) for our pancakes, and this honey is BEElicious! When my kids are BEE-HIVING especially well, I put it on their peanut butter sandwiches too :)
If you get BUZZED from honey as much as we do, then here's your chance to win two honey pots from Happy Valley (a $60 value!!)...just enter the rafflecopter BEElow.
I love Honey Lime Enchiladas! That is my favorite way to use honey. But a little honey butter makes everything heavenly too!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love peanut butter and honey sandwiches! (Well, Peter has to use Soy Butter since he's allergic to peanuts but you get the drift!)
ReplyDeleteOoh, our hives aren't producing yet so I'd love to win some! It's painful buying honey when there are two hives out there! We use it every single day on pb and honey sandwiches for the kiddos so we go through a good amount!
ReplyDeleteI keep it simple - in my tea!
ReplyDeleteHoney + lime dressing for fruit salad! Or with lemon + whiskey when "I have a sore throat" ;)

I mix honey into my bowl of yogurt every morning for breakfast. I also use it in tea, mixed with peanut butter as a dip for apples and pretzel sticks, in marinades and sauces for chicken and pork...honey is always on our kitchen counter and I use it often.
ReplyDeleteI like honey on toast.
ReplyDeleteHoney and PB on toast is my favorite! But it's great as a natural sweetener in smoothies too!
ReplyDeleteI love honey on biscuits! yum yum :)
ReplyDeleteI love honey in my oatmeal in the morning! I only give my girls no sugar-added applesauce as their sweetener, when I get the good stuff ;)
ReplyDeleteI love having good honey around for mixing into tea during the winter.
