Eamon the Jumping Bean Turns Fourteen

Our third child turned FOURTEEN!  I keep telling them to knock it off, but they just keep getting older.  Thankfully, Phil brings me flowers to ease the pain :)

Eamon asked for "football food" and an oreo cake for his birthday dinner.  The boy is still a major sports fanatic and is typically found tossing around a ball inside if he's not playing outside.  He loves to jump on the trampoline for hours and still asks Phil to go out and throw a football on the daily, and who can deny this sweet boy's request?

Yummy but not pretty cake, as is commonplace at Casa Martin.

Football food = pizza, pigs in blankets, taco salad, chips, and meatball sliders.  I picked up some glass bottles of cream soda which were very appreciated as well!  Eamon is such a grateful kid and always thanks us for each meal, each ride, each little thing we do for him.  When it came time to tell me what he wanted for his birthday, he said "Not much" because he's just too easy to please!  But we got him some good gifts anyway because you always want to spoil the kid who never asks for anything!

See that cool tabletop fire pit?  That was an early birthday present from me to Phil, whose birthday is in a couple weeks.  We have been using it so much on our screened porch.  Highly recommend!

Gifts included:

Celtics Sweatshirt

Cam Newton Pats Shirt

Vans

Escape Room Game

An Xbox gift card and some cold hard cash

The favorite present was definitely this Ping Pong Set, and now my dining room table is no longer for dining.  Ha!  Brendan thought that was funny!

I can't believe my little shorty is fourteen already, and we are praying for his growth spurt this year.  He wishes he was a taller baller.  But for now, he's the perfect height for hugging his mom and wrestling with his little brothers, and we love him so much!  In our house, fourteen means you get a job, so he will be applying soon.  He's also going to run for Student Council President soon, and we think he'll make an excellent leader.  We may be slightly biased but he's just such a great all-around kid whom we all like having on our team.  Happy Birthday Eamon Philip!
