Race Day (sort of)

Today I ran in my town's annual 10K race!
(Well, the race is actually next Sunday, but we won't be around, so I decided to run the race route today instead.)
And even though it wasn't my fastest time, I came in FIRST place!
(I also came in last place, but let's focus on the positives, shall we?)
There were a lot of spectators watching and waving.
(Or maybe they were just doing yard work and swatting away flies?)
All traffic stopped to allow me to safely cross the streets.
(Well, they did come to a stop eventually after I waited a while and then decided to make a mad dash for it.)
I even got some high fives!
(From the overgrowth of bushes that kept whacking me in the face.)
All in all, it was a great race and I'm proud to have run it.
(Maybe next year, more people will join me!)

  2. Oh you are so good doing ahead of everyone else.

Just think though, you didn't come last, the last person still hasn't come in and probably won't for another week at least.

  6. This is so cute and funny. Congrats to you. I think it might be better alone, then you don't have to share all the fan-fare!!
