The weight is partially lifted off my shoulders.

I just changed my CPA Exam (Auditing section) from Oct. 1 to Nov. 5th.
I feel much better now - not so much stress about how I'm gonna fit in all that studying.
However, I'm sure on October 2nd, I'll be just as stressed out and wishing it was over already.
You win some, you lose some!
(Anyone else procrastinating today???)
And now for some accounting humor ( I know, it's rare!):
~
Q: What is the definition of an accountant?
A: Someone who solves a problem you didn't know you had in a way you don't understand.
~
The difference between the short and long income tax forms is simple.
If you use the short form, the government gets your money.
If you use the long form, the CPA gets your money.
~
What's the difference between a CPA and a lawyer?
The CPA knows he's boring.

  1. Glad you've gained a little more time and can at least feel a little less weight on your shoulders. I'll keep praying for you and hope that you will be enlightened and filled with a keen sense of memory as you study. I hope you don't have 'mommy brain' as bad as I do!! ;)

Thanks for the morning chuckle with the jokes..love 'em!

  2. Oh, that must be a relief with the Nov. test date! Don't forget to study in the meantime, lol. What I would do is just put off studying until the end of October and then be in the same boat all over again, silly me!

  5. Very cute jokes. I think giving yourself more time will be a good thing.
me? procrastinate? **looking around at the piles of paperwork needing to answered/filed/recorded, right next to the washing machine that is exploding with dirty clothes, and thinking about the school supply list that is growing on the kitchen counter**
    Nope, I never procrastinate.

  6. That's hilarious and true- the CPA knows he's boring!!! I'm a CPA turned SAHM. I guess the CPA exam now is one part at a time? I'm old school- didn't need a masters, had to take it all four parts at once- two days sitting in a folding chair. I don't know how I possibly could study with a family. I used to work until 8PM, come home and study until 11 and hole myself up in the library all weekend.

Ahhh, sad as it sounds though, I miss it! I love my kids and hubby tremendously, but that was a completely different life I had.

Good luck on the exam! I'll say a prayer for you.
