Hi Lo: March 4th

HI's:

1) We have had a menu planned out for this past week (and are following it), and even have a grocery list in process on our cork board.  Geez, I feel like a real adult now!  We usually kind of go with the flow when it comes to food in our house, but I think I'm liking this much better.

2) Happy Birthday to our dear friend, Fr. Jay Mello, and Phil's mom (Nana) this week!

3) After the ultrasound, we went out to dinner at my favorite restaurant, where I got a free entree and dessert because it was close to my birthday.  I ordered the Sole Florentine and the Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cake, both were so delicious!  And what should have cost me $24.98 cost me nada :)

LO's:

1) Maggie has a cold and Andrew has a sore throat.  Even though Maggie is the dramatic one in our family, Andrew is definitely the hypochondriac.  You'd think he was dying from this sore throat....he's got the man-cold thing down pat ;)  We are so lucky to be in March, and this is the first cold that is going through our house.

2) Phil's car went in for an Inspection sticker and ended up needing an oil change, a new part for the airbag sensor, an alignment, and a sticker.  What we thought would cost about $40 is going to end up being $400.  But this van of his has no payments, so we are trying to keep it running for as long as possible.

3) Since I now think this baby is a boy, and we already have the most beautiful girl name picked out, I need help finding a nice boy's name.  We like the Irish names and/or Saints names, but can't settle on one that "sticks" with this baby.  Help, please?

  6. Haha. My husband's boss gave us the idea to name our 3rd boy Patrick and call him "Hat Trick" (as in soccer) for a family inside joke. I told him it wasn't right to name a child based on a joke, but I still thought it was a cute idea. We have James and Kyle as possibilities for our next boy or two. =)

  8. One of the most fun things is picking a name for our boys! I'm so excited for you. We always found out what we were having simply because we're both so excited to choose a name and start using it! :) ha

Oh yeah, I saw your comment. I wasn't done with that post on Raphael! I don't know how it got on my blog, I "KNOW" I hit save draft! So check back later today;(or I could just e mail you) if you liked that first picture you'll totally get a kick out of the others that go along with the post.

I don't know anything about having little girls, but your little Maggie cracks me up by the way!

  9. I like the Irish names Graeme, (Graham) Cillian (maybe too much like beer) Ronan and Kieran.

A good site with Irish names, this link is specific to Irish Saints. www.namenerds.com/irish/saint.html

There is a Saint Aidan from Ireland but that name is so overly popular.

Happy Baby Naming! I hope the cold germs land far away from your house.

    Miles
    Kieran

I think pretty much all Irish names are awesome :-) and a lot of them are good for boys OR girls (just in case!!)

P.S. Not a lot of dairy over here. I'm lactose intolerant but can stand a little. That's the first thing I thought of too with Finns colic. Yesterday was a good day for him and the colic calm came! Seemed to work ok.. I'm afraid to admit it though! The normal "witching hourS" were wonderfully quiet!!

  12. May I just say that the Peanut Butter Ice Cream cake sounds absolutely yummy right about now??!! This is saying a lot since I still haven't gained much taste back for sweets or for ice cream even after delivering :(

Looks like you're getting a whole treasure of boys names in comments..can I still hold out and think that you are having a girl?? I think I just might. Our boys names for Gianna were Isaac, Thomas, Josiah and Sebastian. Just in case you wanted to know ;)

Have a good weekend. I hope the kiddos feel better soon.
