Sweetness

I've been trying to write down some of the sweet things that have been said around the Martin House lately (you know, to make up for all the other things said I would never want recorded).  Here's what I've heard:

Phil:
Sometimes when I have all the kids at a playground or store, I feel like there's someone missing...I keep looking around for Baby #5.

John-Paul:
(As I'm putting on mascara) Mom, why do you always have to get so beautiful for work?  I mean, you're beautiful anyway, but why do you have to put on makeup for work?

Maggie:
When I become a lady and have big "chesteses", I'm going to marry Eamon.

Andrew:
Mom, when you come to see my Kindergarten Graduation, you might need to bring a tissue for the last song.

From our Anniversary Date:
Me: Phil, why do you always order chicken fingers when we go to a restaurant?
Phil: Because I like chicken fingers.
Me: I know, but there are so many other things to choose from, and how will you ever know if you like anything else unless you try it?
Phil:  I know what I like and I don't want to try anything else.  That should make you feel good.  I'm a loyal guy...when it comes to girls, you are my chicken fingers.

:)

  1. I have to say the chicken fingers one was my favorite and how hysterical! There's a fine line though when your hubby compares you to a greasy piece of meat! LOL That was great.

  6. Hilarious! I am laughing so hard at Maggie's! Too funny. You just made my last blog check for the day SO worth it. Thanks for the smile :)

ps...my hubby ALWAYS orders Taco Salad. If the place we're at has it, he'll order it. It's his 'stand by', then he doesn't have to broaden his horizons. I ALWAYS make fun of him for it ;)

  7. i always think there is someone missing too but i attribute it to when things are quiet...if its quiet and everyone's good i just have to keep counting the chickens. sometimes having so many kids is too easy. really it is :)

  9. Those are some of the sweetest things I've ever heard :) Jason is under the impression that when you kiss someone a certain way (on the lips? I'm not sure what the criteria is) you're married. We've 'married' a few times now :)
