The Good:
Thank you for your sweet and encouraging comments on our announcement yesterday.
Thank you Dollar Store for your cheap but accurate tests! |
We are just as excited as our kids (their reaction is here if you haven't seen it yet!) I am always amazed at parents who think that by having another baby, they are depriving their current children of love and attention. Our kids pray, plead, and hound us to have more, and are so excited to get one. There is honestly nothing better we can give our children than the gift of a sibling!
The Bad:
Morning sickness has started, and based on my past 5 pregnancies I know it's only going to get worse over the next few weeks. Please excuse me if I'm grouchy and irrational. I'm pretty useless in the 1st and 3rd trimesters, but I'm a gem in the 2nd. Promise!
The Ugly:
I have swollen lymph nodes, a cold sore, acne, am exhausted and could I possibly be showing at 7 weeks???? Whoever says pregnancy is beautiful is blinder than a bat. The baby is beautiful, and worth it all, but the pregnancy I could do without :)
All that complaining out of the way, we are truly very excited for this new little member of our family, and we know we have been blessed by God more than we deserve. We are so thankful!!
May the sickies pass soonest! Congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!! That's wonderful news!! I hooe you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteAhhh morning sickness...the memories! Prayers for you as you grow that sweet baby! : )
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I am pretty sure your kids' reaction to the news was the best ever, and only shows how much love there really is in your family! It's amazing :) I pray your pregnancy won't be too rough and your little one will arrive safely! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteMan, I hear ya on the morning sickness and uselessness of the 1st and 3rd trimesters. Poor you! I always say that I don't need an epidural for labor, but PLEASE knock me out for the pregnancy!!
ReplyDeleteWhaaaa?!?!!? How did I miss this announcement yesterday?!? SO, SO excited for you! Praying for you and this little one too. Seriously, this has made my day ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are as gorgeous as always :) Can't wait to share your pregnancy with you from afar. Eager to watch your baby bump grow.
ReplyDeleteUgh, hope you feel better soon! And yay for Dollar Store tests! I try to tell all the Catholic mamas I know about them...no need to pee on ten dollar bill every time!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! So excited for you guys!
ReplyDeleteOh the sickness, the cursed sickness . . . I'm sorry. :(
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, and I am 100% sure you are not showing, you tiny woman. If it makes you feel any better, I probably look more pregnant than you!! Too bad you don't live nearby and you can't stand next to me all the time. You'd feel fabulously skinny! ;-)
WHAT?! How did I miss this?! Congrats!!! I'm so excited for you! And totally called like a week ago. ;) hope morning sickness is kinder to you this time around!
ReplyDeletePrayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy (and not too bad morning sickness).
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you! I totally got all choked up watching your kids reaction to the news. And yes you can totally be showing at 7 weeks. I took a pregnancy test with baby #4 at 4 weeks because I thought "hmm looks like I'm pregnant". I feel your pain about pregnancy..I'll be praying for you! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Congratulations!! :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Welcome to the 1/2 dozen club!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I just saw everything and it makes me so happy! I got some very mean comments from someone about having big families and I cried and was shaken all last night and today over it so seeing how your kids reacted just confirmed everything I've always believed about big families. Congrats to you and your new little one. I hope it's another girl. =)
ReplyDeleteWonderful news! Congratulations! I've been thinking about you having another baby for a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteGod is good!
The video...ya....super cute!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you and Phil(da man) on a precious new "baby Martin". How sweet was that video!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. This is the best gift you will give these kids.
I think Xander needs a little brother to pal with also..but a girl would be so sweet too. Either way..it is win win.
HEY..maybe you will be having twins a Boy and a Girl~~
Ok, I just watched the video, and that was fantastice! Congrats! What a lucky, lucky family. And I was dying over little Maggie, I think I am going to start praying for a girl! "Why did you say he?" She is a sharp one, she is not going to let a single pronoun slip by anyone!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, hope you are not falling too deeply sick. Prayers for you, the family and the little one!
This is so exciting!! I am so happy for you and your family. looks like two of us...:) ( but mine though adoption) God bless y'all.
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so happy for you Colleen! Congrats to you and your family and prayers for a healthy pregnancy and baby.

ReplyDeleteNow wait just a minute . . . I have a cold sore, acne like never before, and am exhausted . . . But dang it, I'm not having a baby, no fair! Congrats, Darlin'!
