All I Want for Christmas

I gave John-Paul (6) and Andrew (5) the Toys r Us Catalog, and told them to look through and make a list of things they liked.
Here's John-Paul's two-sided list:

And here's Andrew's:

So for Advent this year, I'm thinking I should try to be a little MORE like Andrew and a little LESS like John-Paul :)

  1. Oh Colleen! This is perfect! I love this post! I agree with you!
My 9yr old's list looks a lot like John Paul's! I've been a little frustrated that his focus is not on the right things. I realize that a lot of their thoughts reflect their age and not necessarily the values that their parents hold....
    Thanks for posting this!

  5. Haha! This gave me a laugh this morning :)

    I'll admit, when I was little I think I was like John-Paul.

Nowadays I don't feel like I need much of anything though :)

  6. That looks familiar! :) The girls want EVERYTHING. I remind them daily that the gifts are not what Christmas is about. They get that, but they still want gifts too :)

  16. Those are so cute. My Ella who is almost 5 loves making lists. This morning she was making a list for Santa and then she started in on a list of things she needs to get from the store for her party. So cute! You should keep those and frame them.

    XOXO
