Hi Lo: June 4th

HI's:

1) Had Phil's sister, Diana, and her friend visiting last weekend. Diana just graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville and was the last of all 6 kids to have done the same. How wonderful! My little ones just love their Aunt Diana, and Phil and I even got to go on a quick date one night!!

2) Went to a Lakeside Festival over the weekend. Great kid rides and we bought a bag of cotton candy for the children to share - they thought they were in Heaven :)

3) Today is Eamon's last day of preschool (for this school year, anyway) and he is so excited for summer to start!

4) Happy Birthday to Robby (Maggie's BF) who turns 2 today:
and also to my sister Sue who turns ?? tomorrow! (See, I am a nice sister - no age revealed!!)

LO's:

1) Phil got a tummy bug on Monday, and then John-Paul got sick on Wed night. Hopefully this won't spread around to the rest of us.

2) Lots of funks and attitudes from ALL of us in the Martin clan this week - myself at the top of the list. I think we all need a good nap and a stiff drink (just kidding!).

What were your highs and lows this week?

  1. HI's packing to go camping this weekend with daughter & girlscout troop. It will be FUN!

Lows... let's be honest here, packing to go camping this weekend with the GirlScout Troop and daughter. It WILL be "fun".

And the cotton candy comment - too funny. My kids always act like there's been a miracle if I buy it, because THATs what it would take. Of course, in some places, you HAVE to have it. Like fair grounds and ball games, it's required.

  2. Hope no one else catches the tummy bug. To me, there is nothing worse than sickness in our house. I fear vomitting! Seriously. I can handle colds, but when tummy troubles arise I get worried.

Perhaps a stiff drink isn't needed by everyone, but in case mommy is looking for something, I have found that the flavored Smirnoff's are especially helpful :)

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Your last comment just proves that old maxim: "when Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

  6. :) Funks seem to go around that way. I know here the kids are pretty 'over' being in school & being so busy all the time.

I love your Hi-Lo's - it's always a good recap of your week!
