5k Run for The Little Flowers

I completed the Run for the Little Flowers 5k!!

Katie organized this awesome virtual run, complete with giveaways galore, a shirt and a medal!

The weather is humid, rainy and unpredictable in New England this weekend, so I took the race inside on the treadmill, and said to the guy on my right:

And off I went.

The goal was under 25 minutes.

Official time was, dun dun dun...

#soclose

Oh well, I still won a medal anyway!

This race was to benefit an  organization called The Little Flower Projects.  The Little Flower Projects was started by a husband and wife, graduates of Franciscan University of Steubenville who take care of orphans in China who need extra love and medical attention. If you're on Facebook, go visit their Facebook page, where they post pictures of the little ones they serve and give updates on them.

Here's the little guy I had in my mind while I was running:

These Chinese babies are aborted or abandoned way too easily by too many parents who are searching for the "perfect son".  Please consider donating to this cause, and thanks Katie for organizing this event!!
