Girly Giveaway!

As much as it pains me to admit it, when it comes to hair, my 5 year old and I have a lot in common.  We don't care about it too much, and we only wear it one of two ways - down and slightly parted to the side, or up in a ponytail.  Seriously, if she's being naughty, we can say "Cut it out, or I'll braid your hair" and she'll cut.it.out.

Because braids terrify her.

So on my ponytail days, I thought it would be nice to wear something besides a scrunchie boring hair elastic, and that's when I discovered the Lilla Rose company through Katrina's website.  Katrina is a dream to work with, and she let me pick out one of the beautiful clips she sells.  It was very hard to pick, but the Irish girl in me chose the Black Nickel Celtic Knot flexi clip:

Simply elegant.

On her website, Katrina has a video that shows how to size and style your flexi hair clip, and I obviously need to watch it a few (hundred) more times, because this is the best that I got!

Fancy, no?

I am really excited to offer two of my readers a chance to win an item under $16 from Katrina personally.
The winner must be someone who has not bought from another Lilla Rose consultant, because Katrina is a nice team player like that!

Just enter the giveaway below, and the two winners will be announced on June 23rd!

  2. YES! Please, I need something like this after losing more and more hair after each baby and my ponytail looks ever so much more like a rattail. It will save me from resurrecting the plastic banana clip.

  4. I like the elegant ornate center. These are great! I'm glad you shared them.

  5. I think your updo looks great! I too have VERY straight fine hair which does NOT want to cooperate in any fancy hair plans. It looks like you found a pretty and simple alternative. I like the way that your hair kind of spirals around the clip. My hair goes down to my arse and clips won't hold that much hair, so it's mostly buns and braids for me.

    1. There's a photo on my blog of a lady with hair past her bum who used one of these clips to put it up in a twist. No one thought it would actually work and it held. And it looked really pretty too!

  7. Lotus cries whenever I try to do her (long, gorgeous, would kill for it) hair. Maybe one of these would convince her to let me play beauty shop with her?

  8. Oops, forgot to say one which one I like. I like the look of the o-rings, so I would probably choose a gold o-ring.

  13. This free giveaway is so cool! I just had to enter ;-) Love these hair goodies, like you my hair is always up unless I take the 20min to straighten it, which hardly happens.

  15. I was just wishing this weekend that I had a nice hair clip to use instead of elastics all the time! I'd love to win something. :)

  16. Hair clips seem to slide right out of my hair but I'm very intrigued by those O-rings.
    Pretty Please!

    1. Everything slides out of my hair too - I would have to wrap the elastics so tight I would get headaches. These clips don't budge. I like the o-rings too, they really hold well, and add a nice touch. Though I do have to say I am partial to the flexis...
