Beach Days

We are SO lucky to live close to many beaches.

This little one is our favorite because the waves are calm, and when it's low tide, you can walk out for what seems like an eternity...which makes it safe for the kids. Plus, it has showers so we are all cleaned and sand-free when we get back in the car!

I don't know what's hotter, the temperature or my hubby! Woot-woot!!

The boys spend almost all their time in the ocean this year, a huge difference from years past when they preferred to play in the sand and on the edge of the water. So I stand vigilant at the shoreline and Phil goes out swimming with them. Maggie usually stays with me and sometimes ventures out to "swim" on her own. We sing songs and take "baths" and make countless trips with buckets to get water and build princess castles. One day I will be able to relax and read a good book at the beach, but for now I am remembering to enjoy every minute with these little ones!

  2. Looks like fun! We live close to a couple of MN's 10,000 lakes, but I'm betting it isn't anywhere near as awesome as swimming and playing in the ocean!

Cute flip-flop pic. Perfect photo to blog upon. It seems that I'm always taking photos lately with blog posts in mind while I shoot. ha! I better keep praying that Bloggers Prayer on your sidebar :)

  6. Ahh... it looks like so much fun! Love you pictures. Living in Nebraska... we aren't exactly close to a beautiful ocean. But having lived in Hawaii for a few years I definitely know what you mean when you say you are lucky to live by the beach. Your photos make me miss it!! :) Love the flip flops picture.
