My Little Girl

Maggie had a Mother's Day Tea a few weeks ago that I never got around to writing about, and since the Theme Thursday at Clan Donaldson is GIRLS today, I thought it would be the perfect time!

Maggie gave me a flower when I walked in.

There she is!  Last in line heading onto the stage.

Singing and dancing her little heart out!

Show's over, let's eat!

The kids worked so hard to make this a special lunch for the moms.

The Martin Girls.

Madison, Mariah, and Maggie

I let her pick her own food .

Afterwards, we went for a run (me) and scooter ride (her) as I took the rest of the day off for some girl time.
Then we got ice cream as Maggie whispered to me "Girls rule and boys drool" (it's our little secret).

We went to see Phil (the one with the disc) play ultimate frisbee with some students.

And play at the playground!

It was an awesome girly day, and I'm so glad I have been blessed with a daughter.
Now off to see Cari for more...

  1. I love love love girls' days like that! Lotus and I went to get a mani/pedi and then some shopping last Sunday. It was something I never would have imagined myself doing- let alone enjoying- as a teenager.

It's amazing the different areas of your heart each child works on, isn't it?

You and Maggie are beautiful as always. And I want ice cream now. (and I don't even LIKE ice cream)

  2. I love that yo have a little girl. I am very very into having all the boys God keeps delivering, but when I see posts like this, I get a little twinge of, 'wouldn't it be cool to have a girl'...and that's huge for me. Mostly because of all the teenage girls I work with.
Oh, and she is just darling. But I know you know that.

  10. Ha, she whispered that to me when we met!! But of course we already know that secret around here. ;-)

What a sweet day together. If she wants a taste of what a gaggle of sisters would be like, ship her down to us. (although she might be surprised to find out that being the only girl has some definite perks!)
