Christmas Wish Lists LINK-UP!!

As soon as I saw this catalog come in the mail, I knew it was time....time to make Kid's Wish Lists!!

I love seeing what my kids are hoping to get, and being able to answer the grandparent/godparent question of "What would so and so like for Christmas?"  We are only giving three gifts to each kid this Christmas, because if it's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for the Martins.

I let them pick out 5 of their wish list items to write down, but made sure they knew they wouldn't be getting them all.  They were totally cool with that, and we had a lot of fun going through the process.

Have I mentioned that anticipation is my favorite part of Christmas?  So fun!

John-Paul's Christmas List:

2) 3Ds

3) Bow & Arrow (real or Nerf)

Andrew's Christmas List:

2) iPod or iPad

Eamon's Christmas List:

2) Dsi

Maggie's Christmas List:

Now it's your turn!!  Share your kid's wish lists in the linkup below, I can't wait to read them all!

  1. Gifts is my lowest Love Language score, but I tell you, reading this post, and seeing how excited you are by this makes me happy, too.

  2. If you do go for ipod for your son - how do you "monitor" internet? That is the thing that scares me - youtube specifically - you know they could innocently be searching how to make rainbow looms and something not good is along the side bar...would love to hear any suggestions on this...as I am struggling when the time comes for our kids....

    1. Oh, don't I know it! First of all, he's not getting an ipod at all, so that makes it easier (he's way too young , in my opinion). My 10 year old has a Kindle, but we just have all the parental controls on it and he's not able to get on the internet at all. We have to put in our password to download him books and games, so that makes it nice and safe!

    2. there are aps that you can download on the ipod from the app store that are free and you can just play games...then disable internet and it needs a password to even activate it at all which the parents control...like colleen said

    3. All my boys have ipods and it's really easy to lock it down completely. None of them can access the internet on it - I've disabled it and the security settings are password protected (by me) so they can't change anything. One child was abusing the privilege of being able to download free apps, so I locked that ability down too. The ipod is VERY security friendly, so you can pretty much control everything if you need/want to. There are also password protected settings that let you block levels of content by rating.

  4. Not sure I have time for a post so I'll just tell you here;

    1. the 15 year old wants an iphone--not happening
    2. the 12 year old wants chinese stlits--where would I even buy that?
    3. the 10 year old wants M games for xbox--not happening ever
    4. the 8 year old wants xbox ONE--not happening, too expenisve
    5. the 6 year old wants "flashlight friends" maybe
    6. the 3 year old wants 3 baby dolls--I guess
    7. the 1 year has no idea what Christmas is

If you buy the real bow and arrow--we have one for oldest son. They sell practice tips not real tips that you buy in addition and they are very dull and can't hurt anything and safe. I was very cautious at first but its fine afterall. The nerf ones would be fun if you got one for all of them and they could all play together.
