We picked up my parents and went out to brunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Plymouth, MA.
|
It was not a log cabin, we were just waiting in the coat room. |
|
This is why we make the drive to this place. Yum! |
|
If the menu says M&M on it, you know my little M.M. will be ordering it. |
|
WIWS
This shirt was $5 at JC Penney
The necklaces were gifts from the kids, and of course, priceless.
And yes, I wore the necklaces all day! |
|
We went for ice cream after brunch. Calories don't count on Mother's Day. |
|
J-P was upset Phil ordered him a kid size. |
|
Eamon doesn't care what size he gets, as long as he gets some! |
|
Coffee soft serve with chocolate jimmies. Yum! |
|
Then we went to inspect my parent's new house. My Dad is still working on it, but it looks so nice already! The original house was the brick part. |
|
View from the side. There's also a huge backyard, and the plan is that we will buy this house from them in a couple years and add on an in-law suite and another bedroom above it. Then we can all live here together! |
We went home and had nap time. I slept for 3 hours!!! #bestmother'sdayever
|
Our town has these huge "windmills" that can be seen from very far away. We took the kids on a walk/scooter ride to see them up close. |
|
Our walk brought us to the ocean, we are so lucky to live here. |
|
My top five reasons I love being a mom. |
|
My loves!
I thanked Phil for such a wonderful day, and I thanked him for making me a mother and he replied "It was my pleasure" :) Turns out my Dad said the same thing to my mom that day as well. Men. Gotta love 'em. |
Oh my goodness - that looks like a spectacular day! And your parents house... LOVE IT! And how lucky that you get to buy it from them one day! I grew up in a big house with a mother-in-law suite with my Grammy. It was the best. Seriously, built-in-babysitter and yet they still have their own space!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mama's Day!
You know how I know I'll never really be a New Englander? I'll never ever ever ever ever refer to sprinkles as "jimmies".
ReplyDeleteI can't refer to sprinkles as "jimmies" either...and I grew up in RI.
DeleteSounds like a great day! Coffee soft serve, Wow!!
ReplyDeleteThat french toast looks sooooo delicious! And I'm seriously excited for you guys with that house - looks fabulous! Also, coffee soft serve = total mother's day win. Yum!!!
ReplyDeleteOh ...to live by the ocean...dreeeammmy! Love your Mommy Day, Colleen!
ReplyDeletelooks like an awesome day for everyone! And living altogether with my parents in the house is a huge dream of mine . . . I'm still working on my parents, though.
ReplyDeleteAnd jimmies! You say jimmies, not sprinkles!! I thought that was only a Philly thing! :)
ha ha, my husband said the same thing to me last night! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat?! Calories don't count on Mother's Day?! Why didn't someone tell me sooner? lol. We DID have similar Mother's Day yesterday. Whoa.
ReplyDeleteUm, so I will be visiting you in that house because that is such a cute house. And a walk to the ocean, I'll join you for that too. Oh boy, your posts make me dream....
never heard of jimmies...they are sprinkles where I come from!
ReplyDeleteI wanna live by the ocean! Cannot even drive to it because it is soooooooooooooo far away.
Looks like you had a great day.
That plaid shirt is so fun! Love the colors. Looks like you had a great Mother's Day :)
ReplyDeleteThe house is gorgeous! Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day. But a THREE hour nap?? Is there something you aren't telling us yet?

What a beautiful house! Glad you had such a nice day, food, kids, ice cream, the OCEAN, a walk, sounds like a perfect day!
