First Day of School 2021

Today was the first day of school for all of my little lovies!  They all had different start dates this week, but today was the first time they all went out to school together.  Even though the uniform color schemes are similar - we have two in high school and four in elementary school this year (and let's not forget one in college!).  Everyone's at great Catholic schools, thanks be to God!

Oh my heart could just burst!  Let's break it down, shall we?

Andrew is in 11th Grade
He just got glasses and is the Junior Class Treasurer!
He has AP and Honors classes, plays soccer, altar serves, and works at the ice cream store (it will close soon) and the grocery store.
Andrew wants to be a business man who makes millions selling sports cards.

Eamon is in 9th Grade
A high schooler!
He is in all honors classes, plays JV Soccer, altar serves, and works at our grocery store.
Eamon doesn't know what he'll be when he grows up, but I can easily see priesthood for him.

Maggie is in 8th grade
Last year in middle school!
She is Student Council President, plays soccer, is a sacristan and babysits.
Maggie wants to be a pediatric nurse when she grows up.

Xander is in 5th grade.
Last year of elementary school!
He plays piano, is an altar server, and wants to learn the accordion.
Xander wants to be a scientist when he grows up.

Declan is in 2nd grade.
First Communion year!
He plays soccer, and believes he is so good that he might be on tv.
Declan wants to be a dad/teacher/saint when he grows up.

Brendan is in Kindergarten
No more preschoolers!
He plays soccer, and still lets us all cuddle him.
Brendan wants to be a candy taster and a saint when he grows up.

Cheers to a healthy, holy and happy school year!

  3. Aw, love this. Well if Eamon doesn't hear the priesthood call, let's plan to introduce him to my 8th grade Curly. ;) They are all so very cute. I, too, love the candy taster paired with sainthood for sweet Brendan. One of my favorite photos is from when my kids were going back to school, Lad was in 6th grade and he was holding Curly. They are all standing in a line - some in school uniform. Some looking squishy faced after just waking up. Have a wonderful school year, Martins!
