Hello! Happy Easter! On Good Friday, we drove down to visit Phil's side of the family in Maryland. We left at 4:30 am and arrived at 11:30 am with one quick stop at Wawa for gas and coffee (My Uncle Tom loved Wawa and we don't have them near us so I took a picture to send to my mom):

I had kept a little secret from the family... a certain someone was able to drive from college in Ohio to celebrate Easter with us in Maryland!

Andrew! |
We all went to the Good Friday service and then to our friends, Andrew and Katie's house to have some pizza and a bonfire and let the kids play.
On Holy Saturday, Phil's sister, Diana, came with her cuties to hang out, and Phil's sister, Kelly, sent her kids over as well while she worked. I don't have many photos, but please imagine tons of cousins running around and playing together in the beautiful summer-like weather.

Lucy loved the long walks each day, and Phil and I enjoyed some nice runs as well. |
Phil's dad is a Deacon and he went to the Vigil Mass with Phil's mom and JP and Eamon wanted to go as well. The rest of these photos are very blurry for some reason...
The next morning, the rest of us went to the 11:30 Mass and sang Alleluia with great excitement!
I bought the long dress for myself only to have it not fit (rude!) but it looked great on Maggie! I ended up wearing a different dress with a white blazer.
Brendan and Declan were very concerned that they might not have gotten an Easter basket this year, but fear not. The Easter Bunny delivered to Maryland!
We went to Aunt Beth and Uncle Joe's house for Easter dinner, which was another perfect weather day, and we ate and played in the sunshine for hours.
I realized I was twinning with Clayre, Phil's cousin's daughter.
Who wore it better?
JK we all know she did!
We drove back to Nana and Gramps house that evening, and packed Vanna White to prepare for an early morning drive to Virginia. To be continued...
Looks like you had a lot of fun! It's great you had all your chicks around you for the holiday!-mbmom11
ReplyDeleteNever taken for granted, especially as they are all growing up too fast! (As you know!!)

ReplyDeleteAwww, happy Easter! Love all the family photos in front of that glorious tree. That pink top is great on you - I love the sleeves.
ReplyDeleteThank you - Talbots outlet :)
DeleteI'm surprised you didn't put your hair up in little pigtails to match your niece. Looks like a lovely time. I've missed you and I'm glad the reason you weren't blogging was a happy, vacation-ie one. Hooray for a surprise visit from Andrew.
ReplyDeleteIf only I had known in advance, I would have. Haha I will have to coordinate with her "people" for next time :)
