Week in Review: Promotion Celebration, Life's a Beach and Happy Campers

Happy Friday!  Please tell me you haven't started school yet...we have a few more weeks over here, thank God!

Last week, Declan and Brendan went to STEM Camp and came home with a S'mores Kit with instructions on how to make them using the sun.  But it was evening, and raining, and we all wanted s'mores, so stovetop s'mores for the win!

Maggie went to her last scholarship event, where she received a scholarship from a family who lost their son (a three season athlete who had a heart condition they didn't know he had) when he was a senior from the same high school Maggie attends.  I think it happened about a year after Phil started teaching there, and Maggie wasn't even born yet.  His family has done a wonderful job of keeping his memory alive through the years.

This week was my last full week of strength classes at the gym near my house.  They actually moved to a new studio during my 28 day trial and I am going to miss it:

Phil and I went to Federal Hill (Italian part of Providence, RI) for dinner last weekend, and the Fig Ravioli with chicken and the most amazing sauce had me literally slapping the table in delight.  Mmmm still thinking about it!

The next day we went to Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, RI which was huge with big waves!  Going to bring the kids back pronto!

Then we walked around the cute town of Wakefield, RI (so many historic homes!) before heading home.

It was a nice little getaway to celebrate my new promotion to "Assistant School Business Administrator", which reminds me of this guy:

While we were away, Eamon walked the littles down to the Cottage for dessert one night - the ice cream shop being a close distance to home is a blessing and a curse ;)

This meme made me chuckle:

Phil and I took the littles to the beach on Sunday and met up with friends.  On the walk there, we found a cute dial to spin to encourage good actions:

We passed by the house that Xander has dreamed of owning since he was just a tot.  He told me back then that I could live with him, and I'm keeping him to his word.  The house is worth millions, but hey, a boy (and his mom) can dream:

Phil and I saw the new Spider-Man movie this week, Eamon also saw it with Maggie, who had already seen it with Xander.  We all loved it.  Maggie's had a crush on Tom Holland for years, and it's aged well, as he seems to be a nice guy!  Xander said "That wasn't just a movie...that was cinema!"  There is one character who swears a lot, so the littles won't be watching it anytime soon.

Photos I get sent from my loving family:

He named him.  Can't remember what.

A customer ordered a hotdog with all of these toppings AS SIDES!

Maggie and two of her cousins hung out together at Sandy Neck Beach on the Cape one evening.  These three used to be like sisters when they were little, which Maggie very much appreciated being stuck in a testosterhome:

It's crazy to think these girls will be a Highschool Senior, College Junior and College Freshman in a few weeks!  Maggie just had me order these moving bags...so it's getting real!

Declan had a Basketball Camp this week, which was supposed to take place at the high school, but their gym is being remodeled, so they shipped them off to a nearby elementary school instead.  Sports AND a bus ride - score!

Brendan went to a Zoo Crew Camp this week and had a great time!  They highlight was that they got to enter the Bear Exhibit (the bears were removed) to hide treats for them and then watch them come back and find them.

Still rocking the Minions shirt as much as possible

We're having a little heatwave here, but I hope you are all staying cool!  Have a wonderful weekend everybody :)
