  1. Love it. Everyone looks happy and ready for a great year. Your Maggie and my Curly would be buddies if they lived in closer proximity. Maeve is all about b-ball, volleyball, and babysitting. Another college applicant this year. Is Andrew leaning towards the same school as JP? All the best this school year.

    1. They would be bffs. Andrew is currently undecided on what to study or where to go. It's not my favorite parenting challenge ;)

  2. This is definitely one of those "The days are long but the years are short" sort of moments!
Congrats on everyone being so enthusiastic about the return to school. It's an exciting time!

  3. Great photos. It's fun to see how pulled together kids look on day one. Hoping it's a good school year for everyone.

    1. Oh yes the lost belts/holey pants/scuffed shoes photos don't get equal viewing time.

  5. Happy first day of school Martin family! I’m a native Massachusetts-an who is now a Utah transplant and it makes me happy to see kids who started school on a normal date. Our first day out here was over 2 weeks ago! Also, Maggie’s high school uniform is actually cute - she lucked out there!

    1. Yes it seems school starts so early in many places! I wish we could go back to after Labor Day like when we were growing up, but I'll take the end of August. The high school added those skorts for girls recently, and they seem to be a big hit. In the colder months she has to switch to the ugly plaid skirt with black tights!
