Spring Fever

I've got the fever.

(Love how she's taking temps like a mom while holding the thermometer in her other hand)

The diagnosis:

Spring Fever.

The symptoms:

Wanting to frolic outside as much as possible.

Feeling like each work day inside is a wasted day.

Very real FOMO on all the fun activities others must be doing.

Looking around my house and noticing it needs to be cleaned and repainted and that, just perhaps, moving might be easier.

Considering new career paths even though the grass is always greener.

Dreaming of vacation plans and beach days.

Craving more salads and grilled foods and switching from hot coffee to iced.

Changing up my hairstyle, and hoping I don't regret it.

Shoving sweaters and tights to the back of the closet and wondering when all of my warm-weather clothing decided to shrink.

Ignoring as many of my children's' school-related requests as I can, isn't it over yet?

Inability to make decisions, much like my girl, Rapunzel.

The prescription:

More cowbell?

Unless anybody knows of a better cure?  Any other sufferers from this annual ailment?

  1. So with you on "Shoving sweaters and tights to the back of the closet and wondering when all of my warm-weather clothing decided to shrink." That is spring in a nutshell for me.

  2. I was just contemplating cutting my hair and then remembered that I would like it for one month and then HATE it for the next 8 months while it's growing back out. Just put the scissors down and slowly back away! :)

    1. Your hair looks cute short, but the upkeep is harder, I hear that.

  4. I had to look at the woman taking the temps way longer than I should have to realize what she was doing.
All my clothes shrunk and I didn't have winter, so what gives?

    1. It's totally how I know if my kids have a fever, no thermometer needed ;) Hmmmm, are you saying I can't blame winter? Well now I need to come up with a new excuse!

  5. I read this wile on the runway heading out of town to Budapest but was too slow to comment before we took off.

Well I must say packing for nice weather but knowing it was going to be chilly at night and in the morning DROVE ME NUTS. I was excited though to take things out of the closet for spring weather . . . clothes I had FORGOTTEN that I owned.

My hairdresser cut my hair a little shorter this last time. I was a little like OH MY? at first but fortunately I'm finding it easy to maintain.

Your clothes will fit better in the fall. Remember we've been hibernating. Adding extra pounds. It's temporary. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
